Estimation of cost and saving of implementing the improvement options is also required. In order to find the root causes, the improvement options, and the estimation of cost and saving, CRECPI team collaborates with an independent expert on PKS sector, Prof. Dr. Ponten M. Naibaho.

Together with Ponten Naibaho, discussion of the initial observations of each PKS resulted on the further action needs to be taken to get the more detailed data, the root causes of the observation were found, also the possible improvement options were chosen and agreed with the industries. This discussion was held on 20-24 June 2016, combined with the discussion and visit to PKS Rambutan, PKS Pagar Merbau, and PKS Adolina. The discussion in PKS Pagar Merbau was also participated by other PKS under PTPN 2, i.e: PKS Sawit Sebrang (RECP pilot company), PKS Kwala Sawit, and PKS Sawit Hulu.
