What we do

Strengthen, develop and utilize professional and institutional capacity for adapting and adopting RECP methods, practices, and technologies. RECP service delivery capacity is further enhanced, through advocacy and knowledge management, wide-spread awareness raising on RECP opportunities and benefits, continued training of national experts, and establishment of facility of RECP (NRECP).

Identify, evaluate, and support implementation of RECP opportunities in target enterprise groups through delivery of support services customized to the four main enterprise target groups: small scale industries (food, textile, chemical, metal), industrial zones (Makassar, Batam, and East Java), tourism regions and micro-enterprises including consecutively demonstration, adaptation, and replication steps.

Contribute to creating at the suitable administrative levels mechanisms for mainstreaming RECP concepts, methods, and policy instruments in relevant industry (Green Industry/GI), environmental (Sustainable Consumption & Production/SCP), tourism (Green Tourism/GT) and energy/resource efficiency (Industrial Energy Efficiency/IEE) policies and strategies, leading to an increased role of RECP in government policy in Indonesia.

Increase availability and affordability of suitable RECP technologies for the target enterprise groups, in particular those contributing to and/or inspired by Industrial Symbiosis (IS, Green Chemistry & Engineering (GC&E), and Cradle to Cradle (C2C). Upon identification, piloting, and evaluation of key RECP technologies, proposals will be developed and promoted for their adaptation and replication among target industries.

Assess gaps in enterprise finance, propose and promote appropriate financial instruments for RECP investments in target enterprise groups to financial intermediaries, including through roundtables and other consultative formats wit domestic financial institutions, board of investment, and international financial institutions. Technical support will be provided for the pilot, evaluation, and scaling-up such financial instruments including through training and capacity building of financial institutions and business sector.

On Friday, 21 December 2018, RECP Indonesia had an RECP Workshop for Industries in University of Hasanuddin attended by industries and academia from University Makasar and Hasanuddin University. We appreciate the Center of Research and Development for Environment - Hasanuddin University for helping us to facilitate this event.

On Monday, 17 December 2018, RECP Indonesia organized a Policy Mapping Workshop event in Rimbawan II, MoEF. This event was opened by Mr. Salil Dutt, CTA RECP Indonesia - UNIDO and welcomed by Mr. Noer Adi Wardojo, Head of Standardization Center for Environment and Forestry - MoEF.

Indonesia Cleaner Production Centre (ICPC) jointly with Ministry of Environment and Forestry (MoEF) used the momentum of the 14th Asia Pacific Roundtable for Sustainable Consumption and Production (APRSCP), to conjunctionally hold Indonesia Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Forum and Expo (IREFE) 2018 on 12-14 November 2018 in Balai Kartini, Jakarta.

On Wednesday, 28 November 2018, RECP Club Socialization Workshop was organized in Sleman, Yogyakarta. The workshop opened by Mr. St. Edi Sumekto N. represented Local Government (Dinas Pariwisata Sleman) continued by Ms. Amelia Agusni represented Ministry of Environment and Forestry, and Mr. Salil Dutt, CTA RECP Indonesia -UNIDO welcomed all the participants.

Announcement

RECP Indonesia calls for all experts in resource efficiency, cleaner production, sustainability, environment, climate change and other related subjects to join the expert club called PAESPBI (Club for Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production's Experts). The objective of this club is to gather all experts in the field of Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production and actively promote and implement the concept and practice of RECP in Indonesia as one of the tools to achieve sustainable development.

RECP Indonesia mengajak seluruh ahli di bidang berhubungan dengan efisiensi sumber daya, produksi bersih, sustainability, lingkungan hidup, perubahan iklim dan lainnya untuk bergabung dalam Perkumpulan Ahli Efisiensi Sumber Daya dan Produksi Bersih (PAESPBI). Perkumpulan ini bertujuan untuk menghimpun sumber daya manusia yang handal dan kompeten dibidang Efisiensi Sumber Daya dan Produksi Bersih (ESPB) yang secara aktif mempromosikan dan menerapkan konsep dan praktek ESPB di Indonesia, guna mencapai tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan.

CTB or Balai Besar Tekstil is established under Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Industri  (BPPI) Ministry of Industry to undertake research and development, cooperation, standardization, testing, certification, calibration and improve textile industry’ competencies.  In this project, CTB serves as model for additional textile sector with a pilot C2C component and lead the textile industry demonstration and replication activities.
